Lindsay draws inspiration from both the rugged beauty of Northern England which she feels a deep connection to, and the ever-changing environments encountered while working en plein air.

An accomplished urban sketcher, Lindsay also enjoys capturing the energy of urban landscapes through quick expressive studies. This passion for direct observation and immediacy in mark making was recognised when she appeared as a pod artist on Sky Landscape Artist of the Year.

 

An experienced educator, Lindsay runs workshops both from her studio and within the community and is passionate about helping others deepen their creative practice in an inspiring and supportive environment. As an Associate member of the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists and trained to MA level, she brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to teaching. Having exhibited widely and sold internationally, Lindsay understands all aspects of an artist journey and enjoys mentoring students in developing their own creative voice which she finds incredibly rewarding. 

 

Lindsay currently divides her time between her Midlands based studio and the wild open landscapes of Northern England.
