A Six Session Journey Painting Watercolour Field Mice and Exploring Texture and Composition.
Join Laura Jayne Smith for a 6-session watercolour workshop in the beautiful setting of Arley, Worcestershire, designed for both beginners and experienced artists eager to explore creative techniques and develop their skills.
In the first half of the course, you’ll be guided step-by-step to create a charming composition of field mice sitting on a branch, learning how to use creative watercolour techniques to add texture, depth, and detail. Experiment with splattering, dry brush effects, layering, and other methods to bring your painting to life with natural textures that capture the delicate charm of the subject.
Once you’ve mastered the fundamentals, the focus will shift to nurturing your creative vision. You’ll receive individualized guidance and encouragement to choose your own reference images, develop a composition, and apply the techniques you’ve learned to create a unique watercolour piece.
